Data Deletion Request

This page explains how to have data held by HeppChat deleted. It also serves as our “user data deletion instructions” URL required by Meta Platforms.

1. If you are a panel user (business account)

1. 1Write to destek@heppchat.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject “Data deletion request”.
2. 2State your store code and the scope you want deleted (a single channel, conversation history only, or the whole account).
3. 3We confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days at the latest. Complete removal from backups does not exceed 90 days.

2. Removing a channel connection

In the panel you can remove a WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger connection under *Settings → Integrations*. Once removed, that channel's conversations become inaccessible in the panel and are permanently deleted after 30 days. If you reconnect within that window the data returns.

3. Removing the Facebook / Instagram app connection

From your Facebook account, go to *Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites* and remove the “HeppChat” app. This revokes the app's access on Meta's side. If you also want the data remaining in our systems deleted, follow step 1 above.

4. If you are an end customer who messaged a business

Your messages are held in the records of the business you were messaging, and that business is the data controller. Please send your deletion request to that business first. If you cannot reach them, write to destek@heppchat.com; we will forward your request to the business and carry out the deletion on their instruction.

5. Records that cannot be deleted

Data that must be retained by law, such as invoices and accounting records, cannot be deleted during its statutory retention period. Such records are not used for any other purpose.
